　鈴鹿市は県内有数のお茶どころ－。全国でもトップレベルの生産量を誇る産地であることをアピールしようと、市が数年前からPRに力を入れている。インスタグラムで茶畑の景色を投稿するほか、今夏にはセブン－イレブン・ジャパンとタッグを組み、スイーツも開発。知名度アップに取り組んでいる。

　鈴鹿市西部の鈴鹿山麓一帯は水はけの良い土壌で、茶の栽培が盛んだ。農林水産省の2021年の市町村別農業産出額（推計）によると、茶（生葉）の項目で鈴鹿市は、県内1位の15億2千万円。全国でも8位に位置する。

　玩具大手のバンダイスピリッツは１５日、茶殻を配合した「機動戦士ガンダム」シリーズのプラモデル「１／１ザクプラくん」を発売すると発表した。１０月６日からオンラインで販売する。価格は税込み８８０円。

　伊藤園と連携し、「お～いお茶　緑茶」の生産で排出された茶殻を配合した樹脂を使用する。６００ミリ・リットルペットボトル約２本分の茶殻が使われ、プラモデルからはほのかにお茶の香りがするという。頭、腕、脚部に茶殻配合樹脂を２割以上使用し、石油由来プラスチックの比率を抑えた。

　バンダイスピリッツでは、環境配慮のため、“ガンプラ”などの一部のプラモデル製品に、石油由来プラスチックに代わる新素材を採用する取り組みを進めている。これまでも卵の殻を使ったプラスチックなどを活用している。

二年に一度の報恩反始。建仁寺栄西茶会とは

　京都市内にある臨済宗大本山建仁寺は、建仁２年（1202年）将軍源頼家が寺域を寄進し栄西禅師を開山として宋国百丈山を模して建立されました。その栄西禅師は1191年に南宋から茶の種を持ち帰り、その後茶の種を譲り受けた高山寺の明恵上人は、宇治で茶の栽培を行いました。これが「宇治茶」のはじまりとされております。
「建仁寺栄西茶会」は、栄西禅師や『喫茶養生記』に想いを馳せ、健康や茶の文化に感謝する機会となればという思いから、現大本山建仁寺小堀泰巖管長猊下から厳粛な会名を賜り、2021年１２月に初開催されて以来今回が第２回目となります。初開催時にはコロナ禍にも関らず全国から100名以上の来場者があり、2回目となる今回も100名を超すご来場が見込まれます。
コロナ禍の中でだれもが耐え忍び生活が様変わりしました。お茶会に集えることを共に喜び合い、供に一服し、感謝する１日として、2年に一度の大茶会に是非ご参加頂けましたら幸いです。

宇治茶の生産者による御茶壺道中が建仁寺境内に登場！
　立春から８８日目に摘んだ茶は上等で、飲むと長生きすると言われています。そこで茶家では八十八夜の頃に摘んだ新茶を茶壺に入れ、冷暗所で夏を過ごさせ、熟成したうまみの出る秋に茶壺から茶葉を出し、石臼でひいて飲む風習があり、茶祖に献茶をする「茶壺の口切の儀」が行われていました。また、文献によると、慶長18年（1613年）に江戸幕府が宇治茶の上納を命じる宇治採茶師をはじめて派遣したとされ、その後寛永１０年（1633年）に「茶壺道中」が制度化されたとあります。
　本年は、この歴史的な文化を継承するため、江戸時代に行われていた将軍への献上という形式を茶祖栄西禅師に奉納する形式にて、有識者の助言や文献を基に再現を試みました。宇治茶の生産者による御茶壺道中が建仁寺境内を参列したのち、通常は非公開の「開山堂」にて茶祖栄西禅師への奉納を行う予定です。

昨年、春から初夏にかけて開催し好評のうちに終了した「〇間」とのアフタヌーンティー＆ブッフェ初のコラボレーションを、今回は秋冬シーズンに向けて温かいお茶とペアリングし、香りや味わいを楽しめるアフタヌーンティー＆ブッフェとしてご提供いたします。

言われてもAIだって分かんないけどね。

爆発的なAIの普及により、人間の仕事が奪われるのでは？ という懸念が拭いきれない昨今。伊藤園の看板商品「お～いお茶 」の新デザインにも、AIの力が使われました。

機械が茶葉の生命力を表現

使用されたのは、株式会社プラグがパッケージデザイン用に改良した「商品デザイン用の画像生成AI」のパイロット版。

生まれたのは「お～いお茶 カテキン緑茶」と、水やお湯ですぐに溶けるパウダータイプの「お～いお茶 カテキン緑茶 スティック」です。

新鮮な茶葉をイメージさせる鮮やかな緑を背景に、「カテキン 緑茶」の文字が大きく分かりやすいデザインになっていますね。

デザイナーの職が奪われたのか!?

伊藤園いわく、これはゼロから100までAIが完成させたのではなく、AIで生成された画像を参考にして、デザイナーが作り直したものなんですって。

最終的には人が調整するので、ネタ考案の部分がAIということになります。

クリエイターとしては発想・ネタ出しが最初の大きなハードルなので、膨大なデータから最適解を出すのが得意な人工知能は良き相棒になります。

おなかのお肉が気になる人に良さげなお茶

本製品は、茶カテキンの働きでコレステロールが高めだったり、体脂肪が多めの人に適した特定保健用食品の緑茶飲料とのこと。

500ml、1L、2Lのペットボトル、そしてスティックタイプは細長いスティックと箱にAIの足跡が見られます。

今回はAIと人間が上手く共存した良い例だと思います。これから各メーカーが、どんどんこうした試みを行なうんでしょうね。

でも、もしAIがサブリミナル効果とか学習したら、人類が操られる日が来るかも？

　豪華客船「ダイヤモンド・プリンセス」が御前崎港に寄港するのに合わせたイベントで、乗客以外も入場できる。市内の茶商や生産者ら１３事業者がブースを構え、深蒸し茶、香り緑茶、和紅茶など多様な茶の飲み比べのほか、茶器や茶を使ったスイーツも販売する。入場無料。時間は午前９時２０分～午後３時半。
